Nijhof-Wassink Belgium has acquired the haulage activities of Sven Daems transport in Retie, Belgium, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2021. The fleet and the experienced Belgian drivers will be transferred to Nijhof Wassink Belgium as of this date.
'This acquisition reflects Nijhof-Wassink's strategy of joint growth with its strategic partner DVM Trans in the compound feed industry in Belgium and neighbouring countries. It represents a positive extension of the strong delivery network we have built up in Benelux and France. The partnership with DVM Trans in combination with this latest expansion of our activities is a great new step forward for all of us, and puts us in a position to offer our Belgian customers in particular even more flexibility, better service, and higher efficiency. In our role of supervisors of bulk and general cargo haulage, we hope this step will further unburden our customers,’ says Martin Schoemaker, Feed Logistics Managing Director at Nijhof Wassink.
The Feed Logistics division of Nijhof-Wassink is responsible for the daily bulk transport of dry raw materials and additives for the production of animal feedstuffs, such as proteins, milk powder, whey powder and vitamins, for which it operates more than 350 trucks. Feed Logistics also distributes bulk animal feed products, fertiliser and bagged material from manufacturers to farmers.
