Nijhof-Wassink acquires Haveman Transport

Nijhof-Wassink will acquire Haveman Transport from the Netherlands effective July 1, 2026. Both family businesses have been working closely together since 2015 in the transport of animal feed products in the Netherlands. With this step, the existing collaboration is further strengthened, and the focus is on continuity for customers, employees, and partners.

Haveman Transport has developed into a strong and reliable carrier in the region with experienced professionals behind the wheel. That culture of commitment, quality, and reliability aligns closely with Nijhof-Wassink's working methods.

“We also want to offer our employees long-term security with a partner we know takes good care of their people,” says Anriët Haveman, Director of Haveman Transport. “The transport sector faces major challenges today, such as changing regulations and the energy transition. We are convinced that this is the best choice for customers, employees, and the future of the company.”

For customers, little changes in daily practice. The familiar service, contact persons, and quality remain unchanged. Haveman's drivers also continue to play an important role within the organization.

“We warmly welcome the Haveman drivers to Nijhof-Wassink,” says Bertil Bouwhuis, managing director of Nijhof-Wassink. “Our planners already know them well; we work together daily. With this acquisition, we strengthen our flexibility and operational capacity towards customers, with an experienced team of drivers and a strong fleet.”
